This is the best carabiner I’ve found on Amazon for me. It has great strength (5600 lbs along the long axis) and is smaller than the Black Diamond Mini Pearabiner Screwgate Ink Blue, Screwgate and actually is also cheaper and lighter. Some people may prefer different types of locking mechanisms, but I like this kind for attaching heavy equipment to trees, or perhaps a hammock above bear climbing level. The locking mechanism won’t disengage until you make it, and it is easy to do so with one hand.

I hate this carabiner, to small to be functional as anything but a gear carrier, can’t get anything in or out of the gate without it hanging up negates that purpose. Buy the rocklock- much better design.

This is a great product. Lightweight and durable. Good for anything from actual climbing to attaching a hammock to a tree.

Not sure how one could improve this carabiner without resorting to exotic metals. Very satisfied with this product, like everything from Black Diamond that is US-made, and I have more on order.

AH, i so miss Utah, CO, and Alaksa… now my climbing days are on my roof and anchor systems for roof repairs and such. But a whole new thrill when your brother with no climbing experience and a 5 minute instruction on safety promptly removes his belay rope hand!!! Black diamond is great and functions as expected
