With a design influenced by Chris Sharma, Evolv created the first signature-series climbing shoes, the Pontas. Chris needed a piece of precision footwear to send his deep water soloing project Es Pontas, and Evolv brought him the goods with a sticky TRAX XT-5 sole and a stretch-resistant Synthratek synthetic upper. The Pontas Climbing Shoe takes on the most technically demanding boulder problems and sport climbs with ease. And deep water soloingit does that too.

If I had to only climb in one shoe, this would be it. Great on technical face or slab, yet the pointy somewhat stiff big toe digs into pockets and little foot chips on overhanging terrain. These shoes are a great value, very durable, and super comfy – an all around performer suited for the intermediate or expert alike.

These shoes are the best all around high performance shoe I’ve ever worn. If I could only use one shoe for the rest of my life…. this would be the pair. Comfortable, sensitive, and effective. And they listen to your problems as well!!! Definitely worth the money!

Need a shoe for the gym? How about cracks? A comfy shoe that will edge well but still sensitive enough to toe into a pocket on the 45 degree wall? Well I know its hard to believe, but this shoe does it all. I truly didn’t believe until I blew through my 3rd pair, and instantly ordered my 4th. It’s designed by Sharma, and he nailed it, need I say more?

I have climbed on these shoes for years. I also competed in them and climb outside in them still. I love them. They perform great for all types of climbing and they don’t wear out fast! Definitely a good investment!

These shoes are a great generally all around shoe but perform best as a tight fitting, high performance shoe. good fit, good construction, sticky, and overall….. worth the money!
