This shoe is hands down the best I have ever owned. Five Ten needs to put this shoe back in the mainstream sales.
It is both comfort and performance in one. You can hike all day long in it(dry or wet) and still use it to climb in. They will stick to just about any surface.
Whatever you are into, if you need all day comfort in the stickiest shoes out there, these are for you. Highly Recomended!

I have a 6+ year old pair of the guide tennies and have really enjoyed them but they are too worn for serious trips so I thought to buy a new pair. After reading the mixed reviews here I was questioning myself but went ahead and bought them anyhow. They do fit a bit more snug than my old pair but once I loosened the strings around the toe area they fit just great. I did 4 seperate, 3 mile warmup hikes with them and they remained comfortable out of the box. This past weekend I used them to approach and climb a 9,400′ peak. It was close to 12 miles car to car, 13,000 feet of elevation gain and loss. Snow and wet rock on the mountain, rain on the descent. These shoes had no problems on the wet granite and remained comfortable even soaked from the rain. There has been no delamination of the soles that others have mentioned. Possibly people were climbing in extreme heat when they experienced that. I wholly recommend them.

The soles delaminated on my first long approach to a climb. I have had to re-glue the soles myself 3-4 times. I wrote Five-Ten about the problems I had and never heard back from them. They are very comfortable and the sticky rubber is great for approaches. I just wish they had better construction. I won’t buy another pair of these shoes.

This is the most comfortable all terrain shoe I’ve ever worn. I had to buy a second pair.

I bought these shoes in March, then I went off to get in some good mountain climbing. I was 12 feet from the top when the soles fell off and I almost went careening down the 300 foot cliff! I caught the ledge of the top of the cliff with my index and middle fingers and pulled myself to the top. I was sweating intensely I was able to take a trail back to the ground, but not before people made fun of my shoes and called them girly looking.I since have stopped climbing mountains and started digging holes in the ground, to see how deep I can make them, don’t buy the shoes unless you want the rush of a lifetime, one that may end in the hospital.
