These are great for someone with a wider foot and a narrow, deep heel. They are very low profile in the toe so be aware because the rubber isn’t as flexible as leather. The downturn is mild enough to do vertical but with the pointed toe also agressive enough for overhanging. Kind of like the scarpa version of la sportiva’s miura vs with a slightly more concave sole. The dual density sole does wonders for edging ability and sensitivity. Even though my heel didn’t fill out the shoe completely, the rand is so sharp that there was no movement hooking. It’s so tight that I usually put a bandaid on to keep it from digging in beneath my ankle. Awesome shoe for intermediate to advanced climbers.
